Prep race: ecotrail of Paris (30k) - ouch

As part of my planning for the prep to MDS, I got in the Ecotrail of Paris - 30k. There are 4 options this year: 18k, 30k, 45k and 80k (!). Both the 45k and the 80k finish by the climb to the first floor of the Eiffel tower. On paper, the road is amazing. We run almost exclusively in the forest and gently arrive in Paris running by the Seine river to finish at the bottom of the Eiffel tower. I thought it would be a routine run but oh boy I was wrong, and also very glad I did not get in the 45k. When I woke up this morning, the sky was blue, it was 8 degrees and the weather forecast was announcing light rain with 30% probability. So I decided to only take a long sleeves shirt and run in shorts. When I got to the start line, the rain suddenly came - I mean the pour - and the temperature dropped. We had to wait 40 minutes in these conditions before running. I was freezing to death as it was almost 0 degrees and the snow came! We finally go. As I am in wave 5, the amo...

My ticket to MDS

Anyone who runs the MDS knows that they have to complete an ECG (Electrocardiogram) from less than 30 days before the race. This morning, I did mine and everything looked fine, fortunately 😁  Now, I officially have my ticket in!
